Teresa Díaz de Cossio
Teresa Díaz de Cossio is a flutist and an active member of in^set, a flexible chamber ensemble dedicated to creation, improvisation, experimentation, and collaboration. She has had the opportunity of performing with Los Tigres del Norte, and has been a fellow at The Banff Center, the Darmstadt Summer Institute, Curating Diversity (Sounds Now, Finland), and the Future of Music Faculty Fellowship (Cleveland Institute of Music, Sphinx Foundation). Currently, Teresa is a doctoral candidate at the University of California San Diego, where she is mentored by Wilfrido Terrazas and Amy Cimini.
Ryan Ebaugh
Ryan Ebaugh is a San Diego-based saxophonist specializing in improvisation through extended techniques and rich textural explorations on his instrument. His versatile approach bridges diverse musical worlds, collaborating with artists from genres ranging from Powerviolence and Classical to Free Jazz and Improvisation, creating unique and engaging sonic experiences.
Leanna Keith
Leanna Keith/ A freelance flutist, artist, improviser, and composer in San Diego, Leanna Keith (she/they) delights in creating sound experiences that make audiences laugh, cry, and say: “I didn’t know the flute could do that!” Their works focus on timbre-shifting, the mixed-race experience, queer theory, and the breaking of genre boundaries. Leanna is obsessed with conduction, butoh, taiko drumming, circus arts, and the limitless capacity of humanism in sound creation. She is dedicated to playing music by living composers, and advocates for the usage of music as social activism.
Wilfrido Terrazas (Willy/he/él) is a performer, improviser, composer, and educator based in San Diego, originally from Ensenada, Mexico. His work explores the edges of notation, improvisation, and collective creativity. He has premiered over 400 works, composed more than 80, and recorded 60+ albums released internationally. Terrazas has appeared at leading festivals and venues across 22 countries, including MATA (NYC), Frequency (Chicago), High Zero (Baltimore), CCRMA (Stanford), Creative Fest (Lisbon), ¡Escucha! (Madrid), Splendor (Amsterdam), Flagey (Brussels), Bowerbird (Philadelphia), Teatro Nacional Cervantes (Buenos Aires), Unerhörte Musik (Berlin), St. Ruprechtskirche (Vienna), and REDCAT (LA). He is a core member of Liminar and Generación Espontánea, two of Mexico City’s leading experimental music collectives, and co-organizes the Semana Internacional de Improvisación in Ensenada.
